Joel Kinnaman Back for ‘The Suicide Squad’?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17209″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]We have been hearing pretty conflicting things about the upcoming James Gunn helmed The Suicide Squad film. Originally it was stated that it would be a complete relaunch and we wouldn’t see any of the 2016 characters in the new installment. But, we have Idris Elba replacing Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn, and Jai Courtney seemingly confirming that he will be back as Captain Boomerang. Doesn’t necessarily sound like a relaunch to me, but things have been a little confusing considering we did, also; get a list of obscure characters who are supposed to be the focus point of the film.

According to Discussing Film, it seems that Joel Kinnaman will reprise his role as Rick Flag. This has also been confusing because at first it seemed like Kinnaman was out, and then there was a rumor we may seem him come back. If this rumor is true, we’re getting a lot more of the original cast than was previously thought. This seems to fall in line with a theory from some fans that the “new team” will simply be characters that can be plucked off during the course of the movie, leaving the core cast intact. This is just a theory and nothing is confirmed.

Would you like to see Kinnaman reprise his role? Let us know![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
