The Shape, Jamie Lee Curtis, and the iconic music. When you hear the initial theme, you know what is coming. With the new Halloween approaching theaters next month, Carpenter, who once again is handling the movie’s score along with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, has released the first cut from the movies soundtrack.
Carpenter co-wrote the original film with Debra Hill, in addition to directing and composing the film’s score. 40 years later, we come full circle and the music still invokes the same chills. It reflects the original Halloween theme while adding other elements to once again plunge the audience into the world of the “shape.” Hence the name: “The Shape Returns.”
