Johnny Knoxville Talks About Bam Margera Not Being in ‘JACKASS 4’

The upcoming Jackass film will be the last one and while it will see the return of many familiar faces, one person who will not be returning is Bam Margera. Someone who has been quite vocal about not being in the movie and now, Johnny Knoxville has opened up about it.

It’s 2021 and there is probably a whole generation who aren’t aware of Jackass, but this outlandish show/movie series was all the rage in the early 2000s. In fact, I would boldly say that it was one of the biggest franchises of its time – predating YouTube and the social media age. Kids (like myself) ate Jackass up and any attempt to do what Jackass did never lived up to what these crazy guys did.

So, why is one of the stars not returning? Bam Margera was in all three Jackass films and went on to have a big career himself – with his series Viva La Bam also being huge within the skater community and Ska-punk fans. It seems that Margera’s firing from the fourth Jackass is a result of him violating his contract over mandates related to his substance abuse. Margera has gone on TMZ claiming these expectations “were not fair” and has been bashing Jackass and Knoxville lately.

In an expose on Knoxville for GQ, the actor and stuntman explained:

“We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs. We tried to push that along. I think that’s all I really want to say about it. I don’t want to get into a public back-and-forth with Bam. I just want him to get better.”

What do you think about Margera not returning for Jackass 4?
