Jon Favreau Talks About James Earl Jones Returning To Voice Mufasa

“I see it as carrying the legacy across, Just hearing him say the lines is really moving and surreal. The timbre of his voice has changed, That served the role well because he sounds like a king who’s ruled for a long time.”

Favreau has already seen success adapting an Disney animated film into live action, CGI with the Jungle Book and he looks to continue that success with The Lion King. Favreau’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian debuts on Disney+ this fall.

Everything that is happening with the Lion King has me 100% on board. I honestly feel sorry for those that are not as excited as I am for this film!
