Jude Law Reveals New Details About Character in ‘Captain Marvel’

Perhaps just as exciting as the first look at Brie Larson’s debut as Captain Marvel, are details surrounding Jude Law’s mysterious character. In a new feature by EW, we see Jude Law’s character standing side by side with Carol Danvers. Though we still don’t know the character’s name, Law did reveal in this feature about the drives of this Kree warrior:

“He is driven by a belief in the divine leadership of the Kree people,” Law said. “So he’s almost a devout warrior — unquestioning, conservative, but inspirational.”

The viewers first got a glimpse of the Kree race in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, where Ronan was a rogue agent wanting to spill blood despite there being a peace treaty. Captain Marvel takes place three decades earlier and even Lee Pace’s costume as Ronan is slightly different than what we saw in GotG.

Brie Larson commented on the relationship between Carol Danvers and Law’s character:

“There’s a lot and back and forth that comes with the two of them, which kind of creates a little bit of tension with the rest of Starforce,” the actress said. “Like, ‘Why do they have a special relationship, and why isn’t it me?’”

Law’s character’s name still hasn’t been revealed. Based on everything you’ve heard, do you believe he is playing Mar-Vell or another warrior?
Captain Marvel premieres March 8, 2019.
