JustWatch TV streaming service interface featuring free streaming, rentals, and an ad-free subscription option

JustWatch is launching its own streaming service this October, expanding beyond helping viewers find films and television shows to letting them watch directly within its platform.

Announced at TIFF: The Market in Toronto, JustWatch TV will launch in 12 countries with content partners including Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media. Additional partners are set to be announced.

The service will combine free, ad-supported viewing, paid rentals and an ad-free subscription option, bringing several ways to watch into the existing JustWatch experience.

    Streaming Directly Within JustWatch

JustWatch TV will be integrated into the company’s streaming guide across its website, mobile apps and TV apps. According to the company, viewers will be able to move from browsing to watching available titles without switching apps or creating a new account.

The launch builds on the platform’s established role as a guide to streaming availability. JustWatch says it serves more than 50 million monthly users, helping them find movies and television shows across more than 1,500 streaming services worldwide.

With JustWatch TV, the company will also offer content directly, while continuing to help users discover where titles are available on other services.

A Catalog Shaped by Viewer Demand

JustWatch plans to use more than a decade of search and viewing-interest data to inform its catalog, including demand for titles that users struggle to find elsewhere.

The approach will combine familiar films and television shows with harder-to-find releases. Users will also be able to request titles directly, helping inform future additions to the service.

David Croyé, founder and CEO of the JustWatch Group, said the launch builds on the company’s longstanding aim of connecting audiences with their favorite films and shows, particularly those that have been difficult to access.

Quentin Carbonell, JustWatch’s senior vice president of global content acquisitions and strategy, described the service as a response to the fragmentation of streaming, with a selection intended to include both popular titles and less readily available content.

    Three Ways to Watch

JustWatch TV will offer three viewing options: a free library supported by advertising, individual rentals and an ad-free subscription.

The announcement names several launch content partners but does not provide a full list of films and television shows. Subscription pricing, rental prices and an exact October launch date were also not included.

Where Will JustWatch TV Be Available?

JustWatch TV is scheduled to launch in October 2026 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

The rollout will make the service available to existing JustWatch users in those markets, giving the company’s streaming guide a new role as a destination for watching content as well as finding it.
