She is now appearing in Avengers: End Game in a role so big it seemed like there were two of her?. She is finishing up on the Jumanji sequel with the Rock, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black with the future holding the next Guardians of the Galaxy film. With all that, Karen has even bigger fish to fry. She revealed in the recent Big Ticket podcast that she is putting her name out there for a chance to direct an MCU film.
I keep asking Kevin Feige when that’s going to be. I’m still waiting. She clarifies that she “wouldn’t just do any film,” though. “I think it would need to be one where I had a strong feeling that I was the best person for the job. Obviously that’s not every movie that comes your way.”
With the current influx of female led Superhero films and with talented women helming them, she believes this might be her time. Do you think Karen Gillan would be a good Director?
