We’ve seen references to the events in the films, but there have been plenty in the shows to show that they don’t exactly connect, especially post-Infinity War. With Disney+ coming and plenty of series that will be hitting the streaming service, the question is will these connect or exist in a sort of “alternative universe” that could or could not exist within the MCU.
Kevin Feige, Head of Marvel Studios; commented:
“These episodes will intersect with the movies in a very big way,” explains Feige. “It’s a totally new form of storytelling that we get to play with and explore.”
Considering we are getting a Loki spin-off, Wanda and Vision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and many more, this is a perfect way to explore new stories that couldn’t be touched upon fully in the MCU.
