Kevin Smith Describes Zack Snyder’s ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ Trilogy As “Holy F*%K!”

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14504″ img_size=”700×521″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has been roughly 14 months since Justice League came out and since then the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has not slowed down and after todays news from Kevin Smith, I think it is only going to grow more. Kevin Smith is opening up about Zack Snyder’s planned Justice League trilogy and it sounds like we were all in for a treat. Smith says the Justice League film from November 17, 2017 was pretty much set up the way it was intended with Steppenwolf being the main villain but there was meant to be a bigger set up for the next two films at the end

“Boom tube closes, and that’s the end of the f***ing movie,” said Smith. “With them all knowing there’s something out there, and we have to go.”

Darkseid was meant to make his presence known to the League and set up JL2. In Justice League 2 we would see the League head off on a cosmic journey to Darkseid’s home world of Apokolips. From there we would have seen the introduction of the New Gods and the debut of the Green Lantern Corps in the DCEU.  Kevin Smith says the deleted scene from Justice League with Superman meeting Alfred was always meant to be a Green Lantern in Snyder’s version.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”14503″ img_size=”700×400″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Smith indicates the League would have been decimated at the end of Justice League 2, kind of how the Avengers were in Infinity War. Darkseid would invade Earth in Justice League 3, a nod to Justice League: War perhaps.

“That was going to be the entire third movie,” said Smith. “The heroes’ last stand against Darkseid and the forces of Apokolips — holy f**k!”

Perhaps Warner Bros. felt this was way to dark for their liking but to be honest this all sounds epic as shit. I think this would have been a great send off for Snyder and then WB and DC could have moved on from there. New Gods is expected soon under the direction of Ava Duvernay and focus on Barda vs Granny Goodness and the Furies but can you have a New Gods movie and no Darkseid? Hopefully we get Darkseid in the film for sure!

DC has rebounded from Justice League nicely thanks to Aquaman’s $1 billion dollar haul at the box office and with Wonder Woman 1984, Birds of Prey and Joker set to debut in the next two years it seems WB might be changing course for the overall better. I have always been a fan of the DCEU and Man of Steel still ranks as my favorite DCEU film, I do still hope one day we might get to at least see Snyder’s version of Justice League. It is a shame though we won’t get to see his trilogy unfold.
