Kevin Smith will be creating a new Green Hornet and Kato animated television show. It’s the combination of Smith and WildBrain that will bring together these heroes again. Green Hornet and Kato will be thrust into modern-day in this reimagined rendition. Smith revealed in a tweet an update on the project. Which, confirmed his plans for season one!
Just turned in the 20 page outline for all of Green Hornet Season 1 to the good folks at @WildBrainHQ! The inspiration came from the gorgeous preliminary artwork pack they sent over! Smith was also previously involved in writing a script in the early 2000s that was supposed to star Jake Gyllenhaal in the titular role. That fell through and the last time we saw Green Hornet was when Seth Rogen played him.
