The Witcher is a show that may fill the hole in your heart left by Game of Thrones. Starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, the series involves medieval tones, mystical creatures, and epic sword fights. So, it would actually make sense if everyone’s favorite ginger Kristofer Hivju joined. There are rumors that the actor, who played fan-favorite Tormund in GOT; will join Netflix’s series for its second season.
The tumors are due to director Stephen Surjik posting a picture on Instagram that included the hashtag “#kristoferhivju”. Surjik has been in Scotland scouting locations for season two. The post has been deleted, probably because us fans pick up on details like that. While this is purely speculation, the fan-site Redanian Intelligence fueled the Hivju rumor and they were the ones who predicted that Emma Appleton’s Renfri would make a turn.
Who would Hivju play? The rumor is that he would be the character Nivellen, who is cursed to look like a bear and meets up with Geralt. We did already have a cursed character in season one who contended with Geralt, so this would follow along with that theme in season two. Either way, fans of Game of Thrones will be happy to see Hivju in The Witcher. If the rumors are true.
