Legion M and SpectreVision Team Up for New Project ‘Archenemy’ That Casts Joe Manganiello as the Lead

Legion M is a fan-owned organization and it has some big news. Legion M has joined SpectreVision as an executive producer and financier for their upcoming feature Archenemy. A gritty and hard-edged tale that does a 180 on the superhero genre stars Joe Manganiello and is written and directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer. This story is adapted from a tale by Mortimer and Lucas Passmore. This is a reunion for Legion M and SpectreVision after their 2018 venture Mandy.

Manganiello stars as Max Fist in Archenemy, who claims that he is a hero from another dimension. On Earth, he has no powers and no one believes him. No one, but a local teen named Hamster and his older sister Indigo. They will team up together to take down a local drug organization. In addition, Glenn Howerton has joined as the eccentric and brutal crime boss The Manager. Amy Seimetz has signed on as Cleo, who is the remembered nemesis of Max’s from his home planet.

Legion M is hosting Archenemy set visits that are exclusive for their select members and investors. In addition, a multipronged social media campaign will be support and the film will be supported at various Comic-Cons. This includes fan-meetups when the feature Archenemy debuts in theaters. This is the commitment that Legion M has dedicated itself to for its 100,000+ members and 20,000 investors.

The co-founder and CEO of Legion M, Paul Scanlan; has stated:

“Our community called for a sci-fi/superhero project, and we discovered the perfect match in Adam Egypt Mortimer’s gritty noir take on the genre, Archenemy. We had a terrific experience with SpectreVision on Mandy, and our community has nearly tripled in size since then. We’re looking forward to continuing this successful relationship with one of Legion M’s biggest bets yet.”

Jeff Annison, Legion M co-founder and president, added,

“Our shareholders drive everything we do, and they’ve told us loud and clear they want to back breakout new creators telling truly original stories. We can’t think of better partners than Adam Egypt Mortimer, Joe Manganiello and the team at SpectreVision. We can’t wait to bring our community into the production process for Archenemy.”

SpectreVision CEO Lisa Whalen stated:

“Legion M’s ability to mobilize their fanbase is unparalleled in the genre community. We’re thrilled to re-team with them for Archenemy.”
