Nancy Mitford’s novel The Pursuit of Love is being adapted into a live-action miniseries for Amazon Prime. The series is adapted by Emily Mortimer, with Lily James and Andrew Scott leading the cast. Other actors include Emily Beecham and Dominic West.
The show is about the misadventures of two best friends, played by James and Beecham. The two will ponder and pursue possible marriage in between the first and second World Wars. Scott will play the “wealthy and eccentric” next-door neighbor.
Here is how the teaser describes the show:
“As social and political divisions split the nation, their diverging choices raise personal questions that remain intensely relevant today. Questions about freedom, about love and sex, and the mystery of the human heart.”
The Pursuit of Love will be three, sixty-minute episodes. As we find out more, we will let you know.
