Johnny Depp recently announced that Warner Bros. has asked him to step down from Fantastic Beasts 3. Now, the question is who will replace Depp as Grindelwald?
According to Deadline, Mads Mikkelsen is on top of the list of actors who are being considered to replace the actor. He’s apparently director David Yates’ choice to play the characters. And he’s in early talks!
This news comes after Depp lost a legal battle against a British tabloid for accusing him of domestic abuse against Amber Heard. The judge decided to side with the newspaper and according to sources, Depp was asked to leave Fantastic Beasts 3 one day after filming began. He is, however; being paid for the whole film.
