‘Making A Murderer’ Season Two Announced

Making a Murderer took Netflix by storm. Not only was it one of the most viewed shows three years ago, but since then it has inspired people to ponder their own conclusions to the mystery, an episode of Law & Order: SVU, and the actual release of Steven Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey. It now seems that we are getting a second season, which will be out relatively soon – October 19th! The official Twitter page released a 30-second teaser trailer, which hinted at the plot to the upcoming part 2.

For those who are unfamiliar with the docu-series, Making a Murderer is about the real-life wrongfully convicted Steven Avery, who spent 18 years in jail for the rape of Penny Beernsten. Due to DNA evidence, Avery was exonerated in 2003. While it was proven that Avery never committed that sexual assault case, things became complicated in 2005 when he was convicted of murder. Throughout the first season, we are presented with evidence, police video recordings, family testimonies, and many unanswered questions.

The series was both interesting, informative, and heartbreaking. I expect the second season to be nothing less. Tune in October 19th for part two!
