After Danny Boyle’s exit from Bond 25, the question that has been on everyone’s mind is, who will direct the next James Bond film? We need to worry no more, as Cary Fukunaga has officially been crowned as the next director for the upcoming 007 film, starring Daniel Craig. Eon, Bond’s producers; announced on Thursday that Fukunaga will take over, as well as that the movie will no longer have its original 2019 release date, rather it will be hitting theaters on Valentine’s Day in 2020. Sounds like a good date night to me!
“We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure,” said Eon’s Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli in a tweet.
While we wait for Fukunaga’s Bond 25, you can view his work in the first season of HBO’s True Detective, Netflix’s Beasts of No Nation, as well as his most recent work, Maniac with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.
Are you excited to hear Cary Fukunaga will be directing Craig’s last installment as 007?
