[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3792″ img_size=”1024×768″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While Man of Steel was well-received among fans and we’ve had Henry Cavill reprise his role in other films since then, we’ve not had a proper Superman solo film. Considering how popular the superhero is, it’s a little funny that the studios have not sought out an actual sequel to the 2013 film. Despite the terrible CGI in Justice League, people still enjoy Cavill as Clark Kent and due to his stardom rising, it would be good for us to have another movie centering around the well-known Kryptonian.
Comic book writer Mark Waid has stated that he would be willing to write a Superman film and that he even has an idea for what he would do.
“I’d take a swing at something like that. I don’t know what my story would be. Actually, that’s not true. I know exactly what my story would be. But I can’t give it away. It’s the one Superman story I’ve got in my back pocket that- if we all live long enough- maybe someone will ask me to tell it someday.”
Waid though, did state that he felt that this would never happen, so it’s easy for him to express his willingness and his idea for a plotline. Are you a fan of Waid and wish they’d give him the platform?
As of now, there’s no concrete plans for a Man of Steel sequel. You can look forward to Aquaman, which will hit the theaters on December 14th of this year.
