Marvel Lets Go of Tigra & Dazzler’s Showrunner & Writing Team Due to Creative Differences

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”32758″ img_size=”800×490″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Things continue to be shaken up for Marvel TV, as it’s being reported that showrunner Erica Rivinoja and the writing team have all been dismissed. This comes as Marvel is looking for a new course for one of the four animated shows expected to be released on Hulu. The show was Tigra & Dazzler and reportedly, they were let go due to creative differences with Marvel. Rivinoja and her team had completed a few scripts and outlines. They were fifteen weeks into a pre-planned twenty-week production cycle.

This isn’t really surprising, considering that Marvel TV Head Jeph Loeb is stepping down we’ve seen over the past year everything change for Marvel TV. The Netflix Defenders Series, The Gifted, Cloak and Dagger, and Marvel’s The Runaways have all been canned. Is there room for Marvel TV outside of Disney+ with Kevin Feige now virtually in charge of everything? Is it possible for Hulu to move forward with adult-themed cartoons?

According to reports, Marvel does plan to hire a new showrunner to build their own writing team. According to sources, Hulu and Marvel are still making Tigra & Dazzler. This is just one of the four animated series set to hit Hulu. The others, M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, and Howard the Duck are still on track. Their individual series will lead to something called The Offenders. Now, I’m especially mourning The Defenders.

As far as live-action, Hulu is still developing a Helstrom series, which a Ghost Rider one was scrapped.

What do you think about the creative differences between Tigra & Dazzler’s original showrunner and Marvel?
