Marvel’s Black Widow Will Not Be Rated-R

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige discussed the subject with Comicbook.com, ruling out the possibility of the adult rating. Instead, Black Widow will have a PG-13 rating, with means no overly violent action scenes, vulgar language, or anything else that would prevent moviegoers from bringing young children.

Feige stated:

“It never was going to be,” Feige said. “Somebody writes, ‘I hear it’s R-rated!’ And then everybody writes it up.”

Black Widow is expected to be directed by Cate Shortland from a script by Jac Schaeffer and is expected to be released in 2020.
