Matt Bomer Is Open To More Roles In Either Marvel or DC

Matt Bomer is no stranger to the world of superheroes. He currently stars as Larry Trainor on the HBO Max series, Doom Patrol. Bomer also will star as Barry Allen aka The Flash in DC’s animated movie, Justice Society: World War II. Bomer recently spoke to Comic Book Movie on whether or not he would be up for other superhero roles for DC or even Marvel, here is what the actor had to say

“You know, it’s been a minute. I think the last thing I probably tested for was a Wolverine or something back in the day. It’s been a while, but if the right one were to come around, absolutely, I’d be there in a heartbeat. I love these characters. I think they’re iconic, and they’ve lasted as long as they have for a reason. As long as we have light and dark as a society, we’ll need superheroes to look to for inspiration. I think one of the great and rewarding challenges as an actor is finding ways to ground them and make them, well, human if they are human, but make them relatable and real. If that opportunity were to come my way, and it was a nice role, then absolutely.”

Before he was Larry Trainor, Bomer, actually was on the radar to play a live action Superman. He was even the choice by many fans for the Man of Steel movie before Henry Cavill was cast. Bomer had met with J.J. Abrams for his Superman film, Superman: Flyby, and was the frontrunner for the role, a role Henry Cavill also auditioned for.

Bomer did go on to voice Superman in the animated movie, Superman: Unbound, but that is as far as he has gotten to playing the Last Son of Krypton.

I for one think he does a great job on Doom Patrol but who else would you like to see Matt play? Would you like to see him do something with Marvel or continue his run with DC?
