Mayans MC Gets a Second Season

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7396″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_column_text]After four episodes of FX’s Mayans MC, the spin-off series to the successful Sons of Anarchy series; the network decided that viewers needed more. Mayans MC has officially been given the green light for a second season. The ratings for the show has been incredibly impressive, with the series premiere setting the highest ratings of any new cable series in 2018. It even topped out Sons of Anarchy’s first episode, which was still a very popular series.

The president of original programming at FX, Nick Grad; stated on Monday:

“Mayans MC is performing fantastically, proving to be a breakout first season. Series premiered as the highest rated cable series this year and continues to sustain a committed fan base, reflecting the talent and drive of creators Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. We couldn’t be more excited to take this ride to a second season.”

James also stated:

“It still feels like a dream that Kurt took a shot on me, and that every day I get to learn from him and work with our brilliant writers, cast and crew who pour their hearts, blood and sweat into bringing Mayans MC to life. I’m also grateful to FX, Fox 21 and FXP for their support and faith in me.”
