Michelle Pfeiffer Open To Returning As Catwoman For ‘THE FLASH’

Casting for Andy Muschietti’s ‘The Flash‘ has been quite a fun ride to follow. From the announcement that Ben Affleck would don the cowl again for the film during the DC Fandome event in August to the news that Michael Keaton would reprise his own portrayal of the caped crusader from the Tim Burton films from 1989 and 1993 respectively. And, with this has come much speculation and hope that one of the most iconic parts of ‘Batman Returns’, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Selina Kyle, would return as well. It seems the actress herself may be hoping for that return as well.

Michelle Pfeiffer was asked by ScreenRant if she had any interest in picking up the whip again and she responded:

“I would if anyone asked me but no one’s asked me yet”

The Flash has certainly seen its fair share of production setbacks. Cycling through the likes of Rick Famuyiwa, Seth Grahame-Smith, and John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein as possible directors. Ezra Miller also attempted to team with Grant Morrison for a darker interpretation for the character but the studio decided to go in a different direction that seems intent on marrying nostalgic DC films with the current DCEU to give all fans what they want.

As for Michell Pfeiffer, her schedule isn’t scarce on work at the moment as she is promoting her new film ‘French Exit’ and preparing to reprise her role of Janet Van Dyne in the third entry into the Ant-Man franchise ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ for the MCU as well as portraying Betty Ford in the upcoming series ‘First Ladies’ on Showtime. So the scheduling may be difficult to figure out this late in the game, but if Andy Muschietti can manage to sneak this is then there are plenty of fans who will be very appreciative.

‘The Flash’ is currently set to be released November 4th . How excited are you for the film and for the potential return of Michelle Pfeiffer?
