This would make sense with the MCU’s plan to diversify their hero roster. When it comes to Ms. Marvel, you can put Mindy Kaling in the camp of people who want to see it happen. Kaling recently confirmed this in an interview with MTV News. She expressed her excitement about a possible Ms. Marvel project with the studio.
I think the people I’ve spoken to Marvel about it are so excited about the character and I think that they’re trying to figure out what to do with it, and, I told them I would help in any way because I truly love her.
The fact that there is the Disney+ Streaming Service as a possibility just added to her enthusiasm for its eventual inclusion.
They really seemed interested, and I think they will probably do something. Now that there’s like this streaming service with them, it might be something like that, but I think they understand how much there is the excitement.
With the kind of success Mindy Kaling tends to bring to her projects, Marvel could benefit from her inclusion. In fact, she has previously pitched an adaptation for the character with Riz Ahmed so she appears to be all in. As for who would play Ms. Marvel, Kaling believes that a new face would probably work best.
Are you in agreement that it’s time for Kamala Khan to make her MCU debut? Would you care if it was on the Disney+ service as opposed to a film, at least at first? Share your thoughts with us here at GVNation.
