Marvel is developing a live-action series for Disney+, its upcoming streaming service, based on its acclaimed comic Ms. Marvel, hiring British writer Bisha K. Ali to write and act as showrunner. Ali is a comedian who is currently a staff writer on Hulu’s remake of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The Hollywood Reporter also stated that the show might be announced during Friday’s Disney+ presentation. Marvel had no comment.
In the comic book world, everyone wanted to see Ms. Marvel in the film world after seeing Captain Marvel, and I was one of those people. But instead of getting a film we are getting a series and I’m not mad at it.
For those that do not know who Ms. Marvel is a Pakistani-American Super Hero Kamala Khan protects the streets of Jersey City with her one-of-a-kind embiggening power. More in-depth information go to Marvel.
