Filming for Narcos: Mexico season three has finished! Luis Gerardo Mendez recently revealed this in an Instagram post, where he wrote:
“Change of mask. After 14 months, we finally finished. Thanks to all [the] crew and cast. A dream journey. #NarcosMexico @netflix.”
Narcos: Mexico season three will take place after the demise of Felix Gallardo – previously played by Diego Luna. We’ll see Scoot McNairy, Jose Maria Yazpik, and others return to the Carlo Bernard co-created series. Mendez is a new player in the series, playing Victor Tapia – a Juarez cop who finds himself morally compromised:
“My character is a cop from Ciudad Juarez. I cannot tell you that much about the story but he’s one of the main characters in the third season. But my character is complex. But I’m just going to say that my story is really, really urgent and necessary and painful. It’s a really painful story that is still happening in Mexico. So that’s why I wanted to jump on board and talk about this thing.”
