Netflix Acquires Rosemund Pike and Peter Dinklage Led Film ‘I Care a Lot’

Netflix has acquired the 2020 Toronto Film Festival project ‘I Care a Lot’. The J Blakeson-directed dark comic satire stars Rosamund Pike, Peter Dinklage, Eiza Gonzalez, and Chris Messina. According to Deadline, the deal cost near $10 million for the U.S. rights. As well as the rights to countries such as Germany, Latin America, South Africa, the Middle East, and India.

Pike plays a con woman who targets the elderly by becoming their legal guardian. Then she throws them into care facilities after taking away their means of contact with the outside world. And drains them of their assets. When someone she’s looking to scam has someone in their life (Dinklage) who is just as ruthless as they are, Pike’s character will have more than she bargained for.

Both Pike and Dinklage have been praised for their performances. Are you excited for Netflix acquiring ‘I Care a Lot’?
