Netflix Refused to Buy Holmes & Watson Due to Poor Screen Tests

It seems that despite having succeeded in the television department that the streaming service doesn’t know how to do films properly. But, it seems that there was something that they believe is too bad to feature on their site.

According to the Playlist, Holmes & Watson, a Sony film starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly; was offered up to Netflix and Netflix turned it down. The reason being because of the poor screen tests of the film, which Sony is afraid will bomb in the box office.

Despite Netflix turning the film down and your pre-conceived notion about a Ferrell and Reilly Sherlock and Holmes type movie, Holmes & Watson has made $10 million in the first two days it’s been in theaters. To be fair, I have not seen this movie. That being said, I can’t for the life of me remember a trailer that turned me off of a movie as quickly as the one I saw for this one.
