Netflix Series American Vandal Gets Canceled

It seems that Netflix is in the mood to cancel shows. After removing original content like The Killing from its streaming service and canceling two shows like Luke Cage and Iron fist, we have all been in disarray wondering what the heck is happening? Well, another show is getting the ax. American Vandal, a Peabody-Award winning series; follows school mates Peter and Sam as they investigate the disgusting criminal mastermind known as The Turd Burglar. While it was thought that this fan favorite would get another season, Netflix has decided to cancel it – sound familiar?

“American Vandal’ will not return for a third season. We’re very grateful to the creators, writers, cast, and crew for bringing their innovative comedy to Netflix, and to the fans and critics who embraced its unique and unconventional humor.” Netflix released a statement after canceling American Vandal.

Because Netflix doesn’t actually produce American Vandal, CBS Studios does we wonder if there is a possibility that this show will be picked up by another service such as Amazon and Hulu. While there is no word on this just yet and it’s all speculation, Netflix seems to be shifting things around a bit. It’s hard to say Netflix is losing out, considering all the subscribers they’ve gained recently, but with all the money they reportedly lost from having to shuffle around the last season of House of Cards and how poorly their original movies do, it’s possible Netflix is being stingy.

Are you upset to know American Vandal has been canceled?
