Emma Roberts is producing author V.E. Schwab’s short story First Kill for Netflix. Originating from Schwab’s short story that was published in the September collection of Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite, Schwab will be brought on as the creator, writer, and EP of the 8-episode show.
First Kill tells the story of a teenage vampire Juliette who is about to make her first kill. Juliette picks out a local new girl Calliope as her first victim. The catch is Calliope is a vampire hunter who comes from a long line of vampire slayers. The two will discover that it’s not easy to kill someone – especially when they begin growing feelings for one another.
