New Captain America Photos Reveals Classic Comic Look

While we love all the versions of Captain America that we have gotten throughout the years, there was something missing from Steve Rogers in Avengers: Infinity War. When we first see Cap in Infinity War, it’s after two years on the run due to the events in Captain America: Civil War. Albeit looking good with long hair and a beard, Cap was missing not only the star in the middle of his chest, but the “A” for Avengers on his uniform. This spoke volumes about the split still between the two leading members of the group, along with those who chose sides. We were, of course, all hoping Tony would call Rogers in Infinity War, but apparently, there wasn’t any time to reunite the two in the movie.

Thanks to a reddit user, we may be seeing our first imagery of Steve Rogers in Avengers 4. Back with his helmet, star, and “A”, there’s something new added to Cap’s uniform. This would be the scales that are so familiar in many comic book images of the Avenger. We know that there will be time travel involved and that Captain America was one of the few who survived Thanos’s finger snap, so why now does Rogers feel a need to put the uniform back on? Was it his own decision or symbolic of getting the team back together with Tony?

As Cap says in Winter Soldier, “if you are going to fight a war, you got to wear a uniform.”

Avengers 4 comes out May 3, 2019.
