Friday, it was announced that Hanelle Culpepper will direct the first two episodes of the new series and Star Trek veteran Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker from TNG) will also direct an episode. Now it has been revealed that casting has begun for the series which is described as a 10 hour movie, with a continuous story as opposed to an episodic format.
The beginning of casting is revealed in a tweet by Culpepper when asked if a casting call has begun:
It’s started.
