In case you didn’t know, there is a new Power Rangers movie in the works at Paramount. No, it will not be a continuation of the last live-action outing, but rather a reboot.
What will this brand-new Power Rangers movie entail? Illuminerdi has some details from a source. So, we’ll regard it as a rumor right now. Simply because it’s information based on the script in its current state and we all know scripts and changes can be made during the filmmaking process. But, let’s dive in.
Here are some details:
- The Rangers will travel back in time to the 1990’s at some point in the film. There will also be an all-new Ranger team, which will not necessarily include just five Rangers. It will include an original lineup of heroes.
- Illuminerdi states that a diverse cast is being sought out for the film and Hasbro has plans to have a female lead for this film.
- Additionally, it’s being reported that Lord Zedd will be the main villain. Zordon will also be involved in the time-traveling aspect of the movie. There will be many different looks features throughout the film. Another tidbit of info is that Hasbro is planning on filming this movie in New Zealand. This is where they’ve been filming the TV show ever since Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
- Hasbro will continue to focus their energy on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which we all know well.
