Paranormal Activity is coming back – set to debut next year. The popular horror franchise started in 2009 and had kicked off a method of horror-movie making for years afterward. Blair Witch Project did the found footage camera thing seemingly first, but it was Paranormal Activity that really ran with it and we saw a ton of movies imitate that style after. Now, it’s set to return and the cast for the new movie has been revealed.
TheWrap announced that Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert, and Henry Ayers-Brown will star in the new movie. The new Paranormal Activity will be written by Christopher Landon, while William Eubank will direct. The movie was originally expected to hit movie theaters, but will instead go to Paramount+ next March.
Paranormal Activity’s new movie will hit Paramount+ March 4, 2022.
