DC’s Birds of Prey is set to start production in January of 2019 and according to reports they are actively searching for their cast. We know Harley Quinn will be played by Margot Robbie but they have yet to name anyone for the other Birds of Prey members or the villain Black Mask. A rumor from last week suggests Andi Mack star Peyton Elizabeth Lee is being looked at for Cassandra Cain.
There have been rumors that WB was looking at Alexandra Daddario for Huntress and actresses Blake Lively and Vanessa Kirby for Black Canary. A new report from Heroic Hollywood today suggests that WB is looking for a bi-racial actress to fill the Black Canary role. The report indicates the studio wants an actress that can also sing. A post from Twitter user DanielRPK indicated the role was offered to Lady Gaga but she turned it down. Gaga would have fit the ability to sing and act for sure.
