A leak earlier today on the Microsoft Xbox website teased an upcoming Star Wars game called Squadrons. The game was under the working title, Project Maverick. EA has since confirmed the leak was legit and has planned a trailer reveal for June 15.
The game will be an space combat game with a campaign mode but the game is said to be focusing more on the head to head battles in multiplayer mode. The goal of the game is for teams to squad up and battle other team groups. The game will release this fall on consoles and PC. Fans will get a chance to pilot some of the coolest space vehicles from the Star Wars Universe. Battlefront 2 offered space battles and a wide variety of vehicles so it will remain to be seen what all this game has to offer.
We eagerly anticipate the arrival of the trailer and will have more reaction once it drops on June 15.
