The latest will be Jordan Peele’s, set to come out in 2019. In preparation for the reboot, CBS recently released a new teaser trailer. There were clips from the original series, as well as a Peel narrated teaser that was released earlier this month. Peele has always been talented, but he really set himself in the horror/suspense/drama genre with his hit Get Out. With his creative outlook helming the revival, a new generation of viewers will be able to enjoy The Twilight Zone.

“I was terrified. Why would I ever jump into the most established, pristine shoes in all of the genre? I could rip Twilight Zone off and call it something different and not be compared to Rod Serling. So I stepped away from it. And then several months later I got another call.” – Peele divulged in an interview.

Simon Kinberg, the producing partner; had been the other call.

“The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling’s mission. If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow Twilight Zone fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it’s a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society.”

The Twilight Zone has been the inspiration for many movies, television shows, and constantly referenced in pop culture throughout the years. Are you excited for the revival?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
