Nicole Kidman Leads All-Star Cast in Talks to Join Robert Eggers’ Upcoming Viking Drama ‘The Northman’

Robert Eggers is ready for another arthouse film and he’s bringing in some big names for his upcoming Viking revenge saga titled The Northman. According to Collider, The Northman will be set in the 10th century in Iceland.

Nicole Kidman, Alexander and Bill Skarsgard, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Willem Dafoe are all in talks for this upcoming film. Taylor-Joy was previously in Eggers’ The Witch and Dafoe was just in The Lighthouse. Also, Icelandic singer Bjork is rumored to have a supporting role.

Eggers reportedly co-wrote The Northman with Icelandic poet and novelist Sjon. Lars Knudsen will produce the movie. If everything works out, Alexander and Kidman will be reunited, as they both worked on HBO’s Big Little Lies together, which earned them both Emmy and Golden Globe wins. With Bill and Alexander being brothers and having not worked together since Bill was a child, it’d be a cool family experience. Maybe Eggers has parts for brother Gustaf and father Stellan?
