The idea of Nightwing getting his own movie has been in the pipeline for some time and director Chris McKay wants to assure fans that they shouldn’t lose hope. Even though we may have to wait for one for a long time, McKay took to Twitter:

“No. You’re going to have to wait tho. Keep hope alive, McKay tweeted. “To paraphrase Dick Grayson: Nightwing lives. Always.”

Nightwing may not be a huge priority for Warner Bros., considering everything they have planned for the next few years, a Nightwing movie may be something that would make the fans happy. After all, Wonder Woman 1984 was just pushed back until 2020 and it seems that the days of having Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman are gone. The studio is putting out Aquaman, Shazam, and it looks like The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern are a bit in limbo. Birds of Prey, however; is moving along.

For the Nightwing fans, you can still watch Young Justice and tune into Titans, where it’s been teased that Dick Grayson will, in fact, become Nightwing.
