This week, we explore films fresh from theaters, modern TV shows hitting Blu-Ray, and an exciting slate of gems from Kino Lorber. First up, Disney brings the filmed version of the hit Broadway play Hamilton to 4K UHD Blu-Ray in deluxe packaging with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. The release comes with two retrospective featurettes and a sing-along version on Blu-Ray. Searchlight Pictures has the horror sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Come starring Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton on Blu-Ray with two commentary tracks, a making-of featurette, and more.
Scream Factory has the James Gunn creature feature Slither on 4K UHD Blu-Ray SteelBook in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio. The release comes with engaging new supplements plus archival features such as commentary tracks, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more. Fans of crime films will want to check out the star-studded Crime 101 on 4K UHD Blu-ray from Amazon MGM. The film featuring Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan arrives with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio.
The fun continues with a double dose of recent TV shows hitting Blu-Ray. Universal has the complete run of the Hulu comedy Difficult People breaking the streaming shackles with all 28 episodes on disc with commentary tracks, a festival panel, and more. Warner Bros. has the debut season of the HBO series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms hitting 4K UHD Blu-Ray with all six episodes in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio and various supplements.
Alliance Entertainment has an interesting slate of titles debuting on Blu-Ray. Bruce Willis and James Garner team up for an old-school Hollywood murder mystery in Sunset from director Blake Edwards. Things get steamy between James Spader and Susan Sarandon in the erotic drama White Palace. And Sidney Poitier makes the most unexpected directorial choice with Fast Forward, an upbeat drama about dancers trying to make it in the big city.

The folks at Kino Lorber Studio Classics have a slew of releases to admire. One of the biggest releases this month is Clint Eastwood’s early American western Hang ‘Em High on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision from a 4K scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision. There is also the brand new musical adaptation Kiss of the Spider Woman from director Bill Condon on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision and a commentary track. The 4K UHD upgrades continue as the Merchant-Ivory drama Maurice starring James Wilby and Hugh Grant comes to the format from a 4K restoration in SDR. The release comes with featurettes, a documentary, deleted scenes and more.
Blu-Ray fans can also celebrate with some upgrades, including a 4K remaster of Major Payne starring Damon Wayans that comes with new supplements. The western favorite The Texas Rangers has likewise gotten a new 4K restoration from the Film Foundation and two commentary tracks. We have two French thrillers on deck with Birds of Prey and Vertigo for a Killer on Blu-Ray in collaboration with StudioCanal.
