Noah Hawley Has Not Heard from Kevin Feige About His Doctor Doom Movie

It’s sort of safe to say that anything Fox-Marvel related isn’t happening, despite New Mutants finally getting a concrete release date. Channing Tatum’s Gambit? Nope. Not happening. Same probably can be said of the Doctor Doom movie that was going to happen. Not only was it meant to happen, but it was going to come from Legion show runner Noah Hawley. While Legion could be chalked up to the wave of Marvel TV cancellations and only ran for three seasons, it was a wonderful and twisty show. So, no doubt that Hawley would have made a great Doctor Doom movie.

Is it happening? Most likely not now that Disney owns Fox and pretty much wants nothing to do with whatever Fox had planned. If you expected Hawley to be roped into plans for the MCU, think again. Hawley’s revealed his phone has not rung and he’s not necessarily pursued it, because of Star Trek.

“The phone hasn’t rung. I love the script and what I did with it. Marvel seems to have a plan for everything, it would be great if I fell into that plan. And I haven’t been chasing it, and with Star Trek, it complicates it But if the phone rings, I’m in.”

It’s cool that he will be directing the next Star Trek film, as that’s a franchise that needs a little bit of mixing up. It’s also good to see that Hawley would be willing to work with Feige and Disney if he was given the chance. As I said earlier, Legion should not be forgotten because it was a huge achievement.

Do you still want to see Hawley’s Doctor Doom?
