This is what John Hoey had to say,
We were told that an Obi-Wan Kenobi limited TV series is happening, is the next top priority for the Disney+ streaming service, and that it could be as many as six episodes.
If this is true, which I hope it is, then we can get more character development from Obi-Wan. I honestly much rather have a series than a movie about especially if The Mandalorian series goes well.
Originally Obi-Wan was supposed to be a film, but because of Solo performance at the box-office, Lucas film and Bob Iger had to rethink their plans for an Obi-Wan film and the future of Star Wars.
