Filming in the middle of a pandemic is a tricky thing, but Paul Schrader has accomplished just that. Schrader’s The Card Counter, which stars Oscar Issac; has wrapped filming. Isaac and the crew returned recently to film some last remaining scenes. The director took to Facebook to confirm that production has been completed. Everything wrapped in Biloxi, Mississippi last night. The Card Counter was cleared by SAG and local authorities to resume filming. Preventative measures were implemented to keep the cast and crew safe.
The Card Counter is about a former serviceman (Isaac) who “lives a spartan existence playing cards before he moves into the world of high-stakes poker.”
What do you think about The Card Counter and how it was able to wrap filming during COVID-19?
