Currently, on STARZ’s American Gods as the foul-mouthed leprechaun Mad Sweeney, you’ll be able to see him in Apple TV’s Defending Jacob, Lorelei, and now we can report that Schreiber will be the lead in Showtime’s Halo series. Based on the very popular video game, Master Chief is described as the most advanced warrior that Earth has during the 26th century. Master Chief is humanity’s only hope at salvation and he must make sure that the Covenant does not succeed in destroying everything.
Halo has had many installments and has been played by many throughout the years, so with the budget that modern-day networks can provide and the talent such as Schreiber, it’ll be interesting to see how this show reaches long-time fans and newcomers. Halo also brings in Yerin Ha, a newcomer who will play a new character named Quan Ah, who is a “shrewd” 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who will meet the Master Chief during a “fateful” time for both of them.
Halo will begin production in Budapest this fall – what are your thoughts? Let us know!
