A new anthology series set to spinoff from the Waco miniseries starring Taylor Kitsch and Michael Shannon, is coming to Paramount+. The streaming service is building a new scripted miniseries as it’s launching called American Tragedy. The new anthology series will “tackle complicated moments in true crime”.
Waco originally aired in 2018 on the Paramount Network. It was a six-part series that starred Taylor Kitsch, Michael Shannon, Andrea Riseborough, Paul Sparks, Rory Culkin, Julia Garner, and Melissa Benoist. It dramatized the events in 1993 between the FBI, the ATF, and the Branch Davidians in Texas.
