[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6109″ img_size=”446×300″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]I admit for full disclosure that I never really watched Charlie’s Angel’s back when it was originally on, although I was an admirer of Farrah Fawcett Majors and Jacklyn Smith. It was apparently quite popular as it spawned two different movies based on it. The one constant for the TV series and the movies was the character of Bosley.
Many different actors have taken on the mantle of the Bosley role in the past. David Doyle played the role in the original Charlie’s Angels. When it hit the big screen, Bill Murray assumed the role and he was replaced by Bernie Mac in 2003’s version, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
Now as the iconic show is getting yet another movie reboot, former Star Trek and X-Men star Patrick Stewart is set to join the cast where he too will be playing Bosley, beloved helping hand to the angels.
According to a story by The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart is in final negotiations to play the role, in the film which is directed by Elizabeth Banks. However, to shake things up a bit, Banks, in addition to her directing duties, will ALSO be playing the Bosley character at some point. You read that right, there will be multiple Bosleys. Although you couldn’t get a more diverse looking character with these two actors.
It has not been revealed at this time why there are multiple Bosley’s, or if there will be perhaps more than two.
This version of the Angel’s franchise stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and newcomer Ella Balinska as the three Angels while the Townsend Agency will be a global security and intelligence service that is worldwide.
How do you like the casting of Patrick Stewart as Bosley? If nothing else he lends a certain seriousness to the role unlike that of Murray or Mac. Share your thoughts about the hire with us at GVNation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
