When Captain Jean Luc Picard tells you he will have an active role in the creation of a new Star Trek Series he’s agreed to be a part of, you rest assured he will “Make it So!” Thus it comes as no surprise that when the time came to share a behind the scenes photo for the new Star Trek series for CBS All Access, Ser Patrick Stewart is in the middle of it all when the creative folks get together. He posted as such on his Twitter account:
The journey has begun. Kirsten Beyer, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, Diandra Pendleton-Thompson, James Duff, and yours truly. #StarTrek pic.twitter.com/GxhwkTIgWQ

Some of those pictured with the Star Trek and acting icon include longtime Star Trek fan Akiva Goldsman who helped produce the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. In addition, Goldsman also wrote an episode for the season. They are also joined at the table by celebrated author Michael Chabon who has previously won Pulitzer, Hugo, and Nebula Awards for his work. It appears Ser Patrick doesn’t mess around when surrounding himself with writing talent. While he will rely on that talent, you can rest assured that Stewart will have a say in what is done so that the new series holds up to his high standards and the bar set by previous Star Trek Series.
