The Suicide Squad hasn’t come out yet, but we’re still learning about John Cena’s upcoming HBO Max spin-off show, Peacemaker. According to the wrestler/actor, the character is one messed up guy:
“He loves peace so much he’ll kill for it. That one sentence, right there is so… F**ked.”
James Gunn takes over the directing role for David Ayer in the upcoming sequel of the 2016 Suicide Squad. Cena joins some returning actors, such as Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney. We’ve seen in trailers that Peacemaker is a pretty intense guy, who is willing to do pretty much anything in order to achieve peace.
The Peacemaker show is coming out in 2022, but Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6th this year.
