Nicolas Cage’s The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent will bring in The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal. Pascal will play a mysterious Nic Cage superfan. Who is named Javi. Which, is incredibly ironic considering Pascal played Javier “Javi” Pena for three seasons in Netflix’s Narcos.
Cage will play himself in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. This fictionalized version of Cage faces creative unfulfillment and financial ruin. Cage must accept a $1 million offer to attend Javi’s birthday party. Javi is a super fan and I’m sure Cage will regret going to this birthday party, as it’s going to turn dangerous. Cage must live up to his own legend in order to save himself and the people he loves.
This certainly sounds like an interesting project. Which, will be directed by Tom Gormican. The screenplay was written by Gormican and Kevin Etten.
