A while back, we posted some character details for Pedro Pascal’s role in Wonder Woman 1984. Our friends at SuperBrosMovies have now passed on some more details about his character. The identity of Pedro’s part has been confirmed to be Maxwell Lord.

In bringing the iconic DC villain to the big screen,  he will differ a bit from his comic book representation. One thing that has been changed is that he will not possess the psychic powers that he sometimes displays in the comic book version. While some details from previous reports have changed some, many are the same.

As has been previously reported, Maxwell Lord WILL play a major role in the resurrection of Steve Trevor. However, a difference from what was previously thought is that instead of actually being an “undercover” God, i.e. Ares, he instead will be trying to BECOME a God, using any and all means necessary to accomplish this goal.

The introduction of the Lord character will come as a relief to some fans who were hoping that Pascal’s part was going to be Maxwell Lord. In fact, there were those who were somewhat disappointed when that didn’t appear to be the case from the previous report. The news that Pedro will indeed be playing Lord will give fans another reason to flock to theaters when Wonder Woman 1984 is released to see how the character is presented.

The character of Maxwell Lord has been a fan-favorite for some time and reader’s of the Wonder Woman comics knows well. This will represent the character’s big-screen appearance to go along with his first TV appearance that came in the first season of Supergirl.

Did Pedro Pascal’s reveal as filling the role of Maxwell Lord just confirm your suspicions or were you surprised? Share your thoughts with us at GVNation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
