Peter Dinklage Promises Epic ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Sequence

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5776″ img_size=”800×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Think about the most epic moment in Game of Thrones history. Some might choose Cersei blowing up the Sept of Baelor in the season 6 finale. Some might think of Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal wreaking havoc during the Loot Train attack in season 7. But mostly everyone thinks about the Battle of the Bastards. I don’t even have to tell you the season, the episode, or any context. When you hear “The Battle of the Bastards”, you know it’s Thrones. (For the record, it’s season 6, episode 9, Jon and the Stark forces retaking Winterfell against Ramsay and the Bolton army.)

Earlier this week, Peter Dinklage was asked if Battle of the Bastards could be topped? “Oh my God, and then some. You are in for it, truly.” That was Dinklage’s response. Battle of the Bastards is one of the television moments where you know you’re watching something truly special, so for Dinklage to come out and say this, means whatever is coming in season 8 will be monumental. But what could it be? My guess would be whatever scene took 55 consecutive nights to film. No, you didn’t read that wrong, 55 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS. Put it this way, prior to the mega shot, the longest film scene took about 14 nights, reportedly. Film crews were on location at Moneyglass, where the set of Winterfell can be found, a huge green screen at Magheramorne Quarry, and Saintfield, where, ironically, the Battle of the Bastards was shot. The rumored idea is that all three of these epic sets will come together to make one iconic scene. I’m guessing it’ll have something to do with the Army of the Dead marching on Winterfell. But that’s just my guess.

So there’s even more for us to speculate and theorize as we count down until 2019, and season 8 of Game of Thrones. What do you think about Dinklage’s comments? Do you think the Battle of the Bastards can be topped? Let us know below in the comments!
